Tullio Perlicoli's pen, with its buoyancy, over the past few decades has helped us see culture and the world with better eyes.
With hin unmistakable technique Pericoli gave new life to the leading personalities of the past and the present, revealing novel dimensions and interpretive levels on which his light touch bestowed even greater depth.
Draughtsman, potraitist, painter, Pericoli began as a scenographer and costume designer in 1995: he staged Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore in Zurich. Three years later the performance was revived at the Teatro alla Scala where it was a resounding success.
Charm and elegance are but the most visible dimension of a reinterpretation that reveals the illusionistic nature of Donizetti's theatre and of every work of art.
