Hundreds of artists put their world on the stage of La Scala, but no one like Piero Fornasetti (Milan 1913–1988) disseminated the identity of La Scala onto objects, furnishings, pieces of furniture, clothing accessories.
The La Scala logo, the capitals, the curtain, the posters penetrate in his kaleidoscope and are irradiated into the most unforeseen places.
For La Scala Fornasetti signed the delightful production of Amelia al ballo (1954) with the music of Gian Carlo Menotti.
